A new exhibit featuring art by Upper Perkiomen School District students, Define: Refine and Revise, opens at the Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center this Sunday, February 24th, and runs through April 25, 2013. Small chair sculptures by elementary students, 6th grade drawings of chairs, 7th grade printed textiles, and life-size chairs and digital photography by high school students. This exhibit complements the Modern Design in the Valley exhibit currently on display at the Center. Admission to the Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center, located at 105 Seminary Street, Pennsburg, is free. Closed on Mondays.
Haitian Art from the Rodale Family Collection opened at the Allentown Art Museum last week and will stay on the walls until April 14, 2013. Paintings and pieces of sculpture dating from the late 1970’s through the 1980’s, created by Haitian artists, and collected by Robert and Ardath Rodale in Haiti are on display.
