Make Music Upper Perk – registration closes this weekend!

MMUPHere’s hoping that everyone has marked June 21st – the first day of summer – on their calendar for the first

Make Music Upper Perk – “a one day celebration of the role of music in our lives.”

Everything is free and it’s all open to the public!

All musicians from the Upper Perk Valley and surrounding areas, whether amateur, professional, or school children are encouraged to participate and perform. Play the ukelele, the kazoo, sing a song, lead a sing-a-along, play the piano, hum a tune, beat on the drums – whatever way you want to express yourself musically is welcome. Garage bands, duets, and soloists are all welcome. Registration deadline is midnight Saturday, June 8th – sign up online.

“National Music Day is music in the streets, music in your church, music in the cafes, the parks, and wherever you feel like playing. National Music Day is the one day a year we celebrate the central role of music in our lives and our country through free, open, and accessible events throughout the U.S. and the world.”  http://nationalmusicday.org/
