Start off your Saturday at Stahl’s Pottery Festival, rain or shine in Zionsville, 9 am -4 pm on June 15th. Admission is $3 per person; children under 18 are free. 6826 Corning Road just off Rt 29 & 100 in Zionsville
The Pottery Festival features tours of potting sheds and kiln, over 30 potters displaying and selling traditional and contemporary pottery, pottery demonstrations, hands on pottery opportunities, an exhibit of original, historic Stahl’s pottery and the sale of baked goods and light refreshments.
Several of the participating potters will be demonstrating turning pottery on the potter’s wheel and other pottery making techniques. Raku pottery demonstrations will be performed during the Festival.
After checking out the pottery, continue down Rt 100 and head over to Allentown’s West Park, 15th and 16th Streets, between Linden and Turner Streets, for Art in the Park from 10 am to 5 pm. This free event will showcase original works by over 80 artists, plus feature performances by The Allentown School District Orchestra Program at 10 am, The Repertory Dance Theater at 11:30 am, The Allentown Band Concert at 1:30 pm and from Brooklyn, NY, The Four O-Clock Flowers at 3:15 and The Down Hill Strugglers at 4:15. Rain date is Saturday, June 22nd.
