The 26th annual Celtic Classic began at 4 p.m. on Friday, September 26th in downtown Bethlehem. This three day free festival celebrating Irish, Scottish and Welsh culture, features more than 40 performers on six stages, including the Harleysville based Burning Bridget Cleary, Blackwater, Seamus Kennedy, RUNA, Barleyjuice, and Glengarry Bhoys.
The music, along with the Highland Games, Celtic crafts tent (60 retail merchants selling Celtic clothing, jewelry, artwork and more open from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.), food and drink vendors takes place from 4 p.m. – 11 p.m today, 8 a.m. – 11 p.m. on Saturday, and from 9:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Sunday.
The Celtic Classic Junior Fiddle Competition is Saturday morning at the Ice House for fiddlers up to age 18. The pipe band competition begins at 1:30 on Saturday, with a massed band presentation at 4:30 on Sunday.
