There are two great (and free!) jazz concerts happening this week in our area – and both are open to the public.
Thursday evening, October 10th, the Alan Segal Quartet and Friends will fill the room with two hours of classic jazz beginning at 7 p.m., at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Harleysville, 2871 Barndt Road. Coffee, home baked goods, cheese and crackers, red and white wine are all offered (free) as part of the Jazz & Joe experience. There is a basket at the entrance for a free will offering.
The Perseverance Jazz Band takes the stage Friday night, October 11th, at Keh’s Hall, 200 Seminary Avenue, Pennsburg (Perkiomen School campus). The door open at 6 p.m. for the 6:30 p.m. free concert that is open to the public.
Perseverance Jazz Band brings New Orleans to Philadelphia with its enthusiastic and soulful interpretations of Ragtime, Dixieland, Traditional Jazz, and Second Line tunes.
Whether you’re looking for a group that can laissez les bon temps roulez in true New Orleans fashion, take your breath away with powerful yet sultry vocal tunes, or swing your socks off with engaging improvisation and instrumental flare, Perseverance can deliver the goods with style and grace.
