Classical music adds to the soundscape of many films, offering drama, emotion, and deep stirrings of our collective memory. Experience classical music that has provided color and texture to films such as 2001: A Space Odyssey, Raging Bull, Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, The Shining, and many more! The concert includes Barber’s Adagio for Strings, the first movement of Mendelssohn’s fourth Symphony, the first movement of Schubert’s eight Symphony, and selections from Prokofiev’s Alexander Nevsky.
