Mardi Gras, and an early St. Patrick’s Day concert on Saturday.

The Church of Holy Spirit throws a great Mardi Gras party, with live jazz courtesy of the Alan Segal Quintet, New Orleans Cuisine (three course meal), dancing, and a silent auction. The event is held at Generations (Senior Center in Souderton) from 6:30 – 9:30.  Contact a church choir member or call  215-234-8020 if you are interested in tickets for Saturday night’s event, March 1, 2014.

Also on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at 8 p.m., you can find Burning Bridget Cleary, our own Harleysville award winning Celtic band, at Landhaven, 1194 Huffs Church Road, Barto. Tickets can bepurchased in advance online, for this intimate concert space. 610.845.3257

For the second year in a row, this terrific band has been nominated for an Irish Music Award by the Irish Music Association in the “Top Traditional Group in a Pub, Festival or Concert”.

“This high-energy Celtic Folk band from Harleysville, PA is turning heads with their fourth release, Pressed for Time. Hip, haunting at times, and fast paced, their harmonies and hand for the craft make this a group to keep an eye on for sure.: “Spins” 8 pm BYOB 610.845.3257
