Raise your voice, and sing

When darkness grows and threatens to overwhelm us, we must strive evermore for the light.

Your chance and time to sing out has arrived.

Friday night, December 5th  is Open Mic night at Java Good Day Cafe  (231 Main Street, East Greenville) from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.While you are waiting your turn to sing (or play or speak), take a look at all the new art  hanging on the walls.

Host Tom Cooney is looking forward to introducing our local talent – original pieces are encouraged, spoken word is welcome, and feel free to sing songs of the season as well!! Come play or be entertained! Sign ups start at 6:30.

For those who’d rather sing in a large group, the place to be is St. John’s Lutheran Church (3104 Main Street, Sumneytown) on Sunday, December 7th at 7:00 p.m.

St. John’s Valley Arts Concert Series will once again present an evening of Christmas music. The audience will be invited to sing many favorite Christmas carols.

The Suite Brass Ensemble, violinist, Pastor Jennifer Ollikainen and Soprano, Pastor Susan Lynch will provide special music. A free-will offering will be taken and proceeds will be given to Adopt a Family, which provides gifts for needy families during the holiday season. Refreshments will be served following the program.
