When you’ve had enough of winter festivals and building snowmen, come inside to warm up while listening to fine music and enjoying this winter’s newest shows on stage.
Tomorrow, Sunday, February 8th, at 3 p.m. will be the annual Piano Party for Grace Notes Piano students. Free and open to the public, this concert features piano students of Susan Royer and Taylor Winner, as well as voice students of Kaitlyn Waterson.
This year, the focus of the student participants presentations is Collaboration. All will be working with a fellow musician to present their selection, as a duet or a trio. This experience is unique in its challenges to the young musicians. They have been preparing their own parts for many months and recently have begun to collaborate with their other half to create a dynamic musical presentation. The audience will be treated to a variety of selections that will include a few surprises as well.
The event begins at 3:00 p.m. at Palm Schwenkfelder Church, 830 Gravel Pike, Palm PA. No tickets are required, all are welcome!
Several plays have recently opened in our area; Light Sensitive at Montgomery Theater in Souderton, The Foreigner at Pennsylvania Playhouse on Illicks Mill Road, and Court-Martial at Fort Devins opens at Steel River Playhouse, 245 E. High Street, Pottstown. For more information about these shows, and others that are opening in the coming weeks, check out ValleyArtScene Theater Page. I hear that tickets for some shows (high school musicals, especially) this spring are already selling out.
