The Alan Segal Quintet changed plans and is playing classic jazz this Thursday, March 12, 2015, in Harleysville at the Church of the Holy Spirit (2871 Barndt Road). The concert is free and open to the public. Refreshments are served during intermission, and there is a basket at the door for voluntary donations that will go towards the church’s music program.
The Upper Perkiomen High School’s production of the British (dark) musical Through the Looking Glass, opens Thursday and continues through the weekend; March 12 – 15, 2015, at the Upper Perkiomen High School, 2 Walt Road, Pennsburg, Pa. Show times vary; 6:30 p.m. for Thursday, March 12th, 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday night, March 13th and 14th, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 15th, 2015. The auditorium opens 40 minutes before the show begins. All performances at Upper Perkiomen High School. Tickets may be purchased at the door.

For those who prefer to appreciate the artistic ability of others, the 31st Annual North Penn Select Craft Show, featuring 95 top quality craft artists, is the following Saturday, March 21, 2015, 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at North Penn High School, 1340 S. Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, PA. $5 admission charge to this event benefits the North Penn High School student exchange program. A little closer to home, the Pennsburg U.C.C. (775 Main Street, Pennsburg) is holding its 2nd Annual Spring Bazaar in their church social hall on Saturday, March 28th from 9 to 3.
And one more free concert, featuring choral settings of favorite Beatles’ tunes performed by the the Valley Choral Society, takes place on Sunday, March 22, 2015; 4 p.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 81 Main Street, Pennsburg, PA (parking behind the church).
