Starting Sunday….

Two nearby communities are hosting a summer series of free Sunday evening concerts in the park; Souderton Sundae Concerts and Emmaus Summer Sundays in the Park. Green Lane Park is also hosting several free Sunday evening events at the amphitheater, including concerts and a production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest.

Also opening this weekend, at the Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center, A Celebration of the Variable Star Quiltersthis exhibit showcases contemporary quilts made in our area. The exhibit will run through October 18, 2015.

This is the closing weekend of the play The Rabbit Hole in Macungie, the opening weekend for musical production The Full Monty at Pennsylvania Playhouse in Bethlehem, while the musical comedy Avenue Q opens the summer theater season at Muhlenberg College on Wednesday, June 10, 2015.

The Southside Film Festival, and independent film festival in Bethlehem, runs June 9-13, 2015. In addition to $5 shows, the festival also hosts a free children’s film series.
