Today, Sunday, September 13, 2015, is also the last day of the free three-day festival, Allentown Arts Fest (Pennsylvania’s Alternative Arts Festival) at Cedar Beach Park (2600 Parkway Blvd). Opening at 11 a.m. and continuing until 8 p.m., the festival features 3 stages of local music of all genres, graffiti murals, kids activities, comedy and improv sets, break dancing, dozens of artists displaying and selling their work, and an opportunity to enjoy local food, mead, wine, and beer.
For those who’d prefer to stay inside, several local theater productions have recently opened, including God of Carnage at Montgomery Theater in Souderton (124 Main Street) and the Neil Simon comedy Rumors at DCP Theater in Telford (795 Ridge Road)
