The Upper Perkiomen Middle School is staging the play Circus Olympus over the final weekend of the month, February 24-25, 2017.

No, not the circus with elephants on bicycles or lion tamers in the center ring,
Circus Olympus!! UPMS students from 6th, 7th and 8th grade are busily preparing this play for presentation on Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25.
The show starts each evening at 7 pm and offers Greek mythology with a circus atmosphere. The “Greek geeks” will share the stories of Demeter and Persephone, Perseus, Arachne and many more. The myths are served up with a healthy helping of circus silliness! The students have been rehearsing since December and are looking forward to sharing their talents with the audiences!
General admission tickets are $5.00 and will be available at the door.
It is not too early to reserve tickets for upcoming high school theater events (soon to be listed on ValleyArtScene Theater page), including for this year’s musical at the Upper Perkiomen High School; Beauty and the Beast, which will be performed March 9-12, 2017, in the UPHS auditorium, 2 Walt Road, Pennsburg, PA. While some tickets will be available at the door, there is no open seating this year. Audience members choose their seat when purchasing their tickets, which can be done online in advance.
The curtain rises at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon; doors to the theater open 30 minutes before showtime.

One Response to Theater in February 2017

  1. Susan Royer says:

Thanks for the link to Beauty and the Beast, I bought tickets tonight!

I bought tickets for myself and Homer and 4 grandkids. If you decide you want to go and sit with us, there is one seat left in our row: K-21. Of course, you don’t have to sit with us if you don’t want to! ☺

And I am taking Evie and Faith to see Back to the 80’s tomorrow evening.

    Susan
