Take a drive over to Schwenksville and check out the festivities today, Saturday, April 29th, 2017, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. as Perkiomen Valley Public Library in Schwenksville (290 Second Street, Schwenksville, PA) celebrates their 60th birthday!

Perkiomen Valley Library has been on Second Street since 1957!  Come celebrate!  Checkout the building and great activities.  Light refreshments, music and displays of library programs. Get hands-on with the library’s BLOCK PARTY blocks, Play K stations and the cool science materials provided by a grant by DOW.  Meet a few of the library’s pet therapy dogs from the library’s Tail Waggin’ Tales program.  Meet the author of Trappe’s 300 Anniversary Book, Lisa Minardi (copies available to purchase). And more!

Perkiomen Valley Public Library is a branch of the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library, which makes is a sister library to our own Upper Perkiomen Public Library (albeit an older sister!). The Upper Perkiomen Public Library was created in 1970, and moved to its current location at The Lofts, 350 Main Street, Red Hill, PA, in 1992.
