Wrapping Up August…

Boyertown’s Fourth Friday Art Walk begins at 5 p.m. on Main Street, with local poets, musicians, and artists taking to the streets, and local businesses, until 8 p.m. tonight, August 25, 2017.  This is a free fun family event, and it looks like it will be a nice evening to walk around enjoying food and live music and checking out some of the art on display. Of special interest, is the free food and music that can be found at The Music Studio of Patricia Keith between 5:45 p.m and 8 p.m., featuring a beginner piano class (ages 4-6) from 5:45 – 6:05, “singing time” (ages 4-8) from 6:10-6:30, “Treble Choir” (singing for those ages 8-13) from 6:30-6:50, “Honor Choir” (singing for grades 7-12) from 6:50-7:10, a middle school and high school voice class from 7:10-7:30 and Open Mic (all singers and pianists welcome) from 7:30 – 8 p.m.

The family musical, Willy Wonka, Jr. opens at 7 p.m tonight, Friday, August 25, 2017, at McCoole’s, Arts and Events Place, 45 Main Street, Quakertown. This show will be performed this weekend only; noon and 7 p.m on Saturday and Sunday, August 26th and 27th, in addition to Friday night’s performance. Tickets may be purchased at the door or online.

Live music, along with 100 food, small business, and craft vendors can be found on Saturday, August 26, 2-017, at Bethlehem VegFest from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., along the Greenway on the South Side of Bethlehem, PA (316 South New Street). The Acoustic Blues Project (featuring Upper Perk native and longtime MMUP musician Tom Cooney) will be performing at the Godfrey Daniels Stage from2:10 – 2:40 p.m.

Quakertown Band is giving a free outdoor concert,Celebration Under the Stars,” on Saturday evening, August 26, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Memorial Park, 4th and Mill Street, Quakertown, PA. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating. Rain date is Sunday, August 27th, also at 7 p.m.
