On Sunday, April 1st, 2018, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Barnes Art Museum – both on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, and within walking distance of each other – are offering free admission to their exhibits. No fooling! This is something these museums do every first Sunday of the month.
The Philadelphia Museum of Art is open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sunday (technically, the admission price tomorrow is “pay what you wish,” starting at one penny).
The Barnes is open from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sundays, and on the first Sunday, tickets are available at the door starting at 10 a.m. Priority access will be given to families with children under 18.
It’s the first Sunday of the month, which means free admission at the Barnes! Visitors have access to the collection and all our family activities and entertainment.
This month, we’re welcoming the arrival of spring. Join us for colorful art activities, a museum-wide scavenger hunt, and lively performances that will inspire new ways to look at art and see the world come alive around you.
