MMUP Volunteer Job Descriptions

Here are some of the volunteer jobs we have available. We will also need volunteers for jobs we haven’t yet thought of! Please sign up today!  2024 will be the 12th year for Make Music Upper Perk!

We need Site Hosts! These are the folks who meet and introduce the musicians at the venue, and make sure they have everything they need (and get to listen to the music, of course).

Roadies (before, during, and after event) – putting out lawn signs, A-frames, balloons, deliver water jugs, deliver t-shirts, pick up and more.

Publicity – distributing posters, programs, postcards, etc.

Yarn Crafters – knitting and crocheting items for displaying outside of venues in the days leading up to Friday, June 21, 2024.

Yarn Bombers – helping set up the yarn creations at specific pre-determined locations  June 14 – 17, 2024.

Yarn Bomb Disposal Team – removing yarn creations June 26 – June 30, 2024.

Photographers/Videographers

ALWAYS HELPFUL: 

Social Media Managers – Make MMUP a viral success. Have fun, be creative, work with our tech team to reach people across multiple social media platforms.

 MMUP Blog Writers – Help promote MMUP musical diversity. Help profile MMUP musicians, linking viewers to performance video clips and more.

 Street Promoters – Help promote performances, wrangle posters, banners, T-shirts, and so much more. Got a great guerrilla marketing idea? Tell us! Do it!

Student Coordinator – Help identify and recruit student musicians and ensembles.

Musician Representatives – Contact returning musicians and reach out to new ones. We welcome newcomers, returning musicians and music educators to help us in reaching out to all musicians.
