Photos from MMUP 2017!

Thanks to our two outstanding roving photographers,  Kristi Morris of Littlewing Studio and Art Olsen, as well as the photographer from our local newspaper, The Town and Country, there are more photographs than we can possibly post on this blog or on Facebook from this year’s Make Music Upper Perk. (And this isn’t even counting the audience members who took photos and video and graciously shared them with us through social media!)

So, we are sharing the links to the photo galleries in order that they are available for everyone to see and enjoy them. If you are interested in copies, digital or print, of the photos, please contact the photographers directly.

Wednesday night in Bally – The Acoustic Blues Project!

You may have caught The Acoustic Blues Project performing at Make Music Upper Perk (MMUP) last month, and certainly must have heard Tom Cooney, one of the three members of Acoustic Blues, who’s been playing at MMUP, among many other venues, for quite a few years now. The other members of the group, also longstanding performers, are Earl Andrews and Leon Bonam. If you haven’t yet heard them play, here is your chance! And if you have, you know you don’t want to miss this local performance at Bally Hotel, Route 100, Barto, PA. They are playing on Wednesday, July 19, 2017; the featured act at Phil Stahl’s Open Mic and will be taking the stage from 8 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Shakespeare in Green Lane Park

Shakespeare’s back in our own Green Lane Park, one night only, Sunday, July 9, 2017, The Commonwealth Classic Theater Company returns this summer with a new production of Romeo and Juliet. The play will be staged at the Amphitheater in Green Lane Park, 2298 Green Lane Road (just off Route 29), starting at 7 p.m. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and find your spot on the lawn to watch the show as the sun goes down.
